Soon and Very Soon
Pastor Chris Wood
Have you ever thought about how life can change in an instant? From kindergarten to standing at the graduation podium, You go from being single to married. Being a young married couple to having a baby. You get a phone call: “Congratulations, you’re a grandpa!” Life has stages, and those stages change, and when they do, unless we pause for a bit, we won’t notice it.
I recently was reading a meme on Instagram, and it had a picture of a swing set, it simply said, “There was a day that you swung on the swing set the last time, you just didn’t know it.”
I want you to pause and reread that.
In fact, I am going to retype it. That is a very profound statement. Here it is again……
There was a day that you swung on the swing set the last time; you just didn’t know it.
Our passage today is from Luke 17 it says this
26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
Life happens, we go on living, seasons come and go, and things change. However, Church, be encouraged! Like Andrea Crouch says in his gospel standard. Soon, and very soon, we are going to see the King!
