Isaiah 6:8
You Can Have it All!
When we realize how Great God is, how much we need Him, and how much He has done for us, it becomes so easy to say, “Lord, You can have it all!”
Isaiah did this.
In Isaiah chapter 6, Isaiah has a vision of the Lord on His throne. Around the Lord are seraphim, praising Him for His greatness. In the midst of their praises Isaiah becomes aware of and confesses his own sin, only to be met with the grace and forgiveness of the Father.
And then he is commissioned…
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
In Matthew 28, we too are commissioned. Jesus tells His disciples (us) to go and make disciples. He wants to send me. He wants to send you. He wants to send us.
What is your response?
Lord, here I am, send me to my family, my school, my workplace.
Lord, here I am, make me brave and fill my mouth with Your Word in my friend group.
Lord, make me a light that shines for you where I shop, and where I play; I am Yours, use me in my community.
Lord, here I am, send me to unknown territory, out of my comfort zone, out into the waves.
Lord, it all belongs to You anyway, have Your way in my life, You can have it all!
