Leaders Pray.

Leaders Pray.

Leaders Pray. Period.

Don’t think you’re a leader? If leadership really is influencing someone else - then everybody is leading somebody! That means you, too!

Craig Groeschel in his book, Lead Like It Matters, says that all leaders should pray three prayers: Stretch Me, Ruin Me, Heal Me. What kind of prayers are you praying in this season of your life? Is God growing you - in your abilities, capacity, time, or relationships? Maybe God is breaking your heart for a particular need in the community. Or perhaps God’s Spirit or God’s people are helping to heal some things in you.

Wherever you are, I’m praying for you in that.

In Ephesians 1:15-16, Paul writes, 15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, 16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.

Paul is praying for the people at the church of Ephesus, but in giving thanks to God for them, but also that they might keep the faith and their love for all of God’s people. I want to encourage you to do the same. Pray for the people you lead, whether that is your kids in your household, your co-workers in your organizational structure, or the people God has uniquely placed in your life.
