The Choice is Yours
By: Pastor Shane Beauvais
Our attitude can make all the difference in how we experience each day. Even when faced with difficult circumstances, God desires us to live life abundantly.
In Philippians 4:11-13, Paul testifies how God enabled him to live a content, fulfilled life, regardless of circumstance. Learning to be content in all situations is difficult, but it is essential when considering how contentment impacts our attitude.
By choosing an attitude of contentment, we can live life to the fullest, even when all the things the world says are necessary to be happy are absent.
Every day, I have the choice to either worry or worship. I can be joyful or joyless. No one else will make this choice for me. I control every bit of the decision.
When I choose to rejoice, when I choose a positive attitude, I choose to shift my focus from my imperfect and ever-changing circumstances to my perfect and unchanging Savior. My sufficiency is not from the bank account, the office, or any other issue that may arise in this life. My sufficiency comes from Christ. He is all I need in every situation.
