We Are Leaders
By: Pastor Amie Donovan
We are Leaders!
If I had a dollar for every time, I’ve heard someone say, “I’m not a leader. I’m a servant.” My response? “Servant leaders are the greatest leaders.”
Here’s the truth. You are always two things. A leader and being led. What leads you actually directs how you lead others. I tell my ministry team all the time, “I can only lead when I have a team I can follow.” So I strive to live into both these roles wisely. We simply cannot get away from being an influencer in our community. Your children, your spouse, your friends, and your co-workers are all being led and fed by the way you lead (and live) your life!
Everyone has someone who watches them. We are like a lamp in the darkness when we live and look like Christ. Stop and picture that in your mind for a moment.
In this world our choices matter! Our choices lead others onto a path! Did you know that your transformation showcases God’s Glory? Its an avenue to lead others into a relationship with Christ! The reason our transformation is so profound to those who look on is because our new lives are not of ourselves. It’s a work that can only be explained as having an encounter with our Creator.
What God is doing in you today is greater than you can even imagine! You are a leader!
What we do reflects who we serve. Is the work of God in your life apparent to those around you? We should wake up every day with the goal of shining light into the darkness around us because of Holy Spirit’s work within us!
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Go out this week and lead as the new creation you are!
