Relationship Is Our Gift
By: Allison Hand
“Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, no sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former has passed.” Revelation 21:3-4
Our family has started this Christmas tradition where we plan and prepare a gift for Jesus.
It’s a way for us to honor Him and thank Him for coming to this world to be our Savior. It’s a way for us to stay focused during the Christmas season and remember that Jesus came for us.
This year we are singing/playing ‘O Come, O Come Emmanuel’.
The song is hundreds of years old, but we are singing it together because it reminds us God has always been for his people.
And He is God who wants to be manifest with his people like it was in the garden with Adam and Eve. It celebrates that God came to be with us through Christ and of the time when Christ returns again to make all things perfect and we can be with God‘s manifest presence again forever.
The passage above describes just that.
I can’t even fathom how perfect and wonderful it will be to be in God’s presence, but I long for that day. Today I thank God for the promise of Revelation 21:3-4 and praise Him that He is for us and wants to be with us.
