The In-Between
By: Lori Ennis
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
If you know me, you know I’m a bit of a “The Chosen” fan.
Okay, I’m a crazy, rabid fanatic who has watched every episode at least one hundred million times. Maybe more.
Recently, I got to watch the newest episode, and it started with a video of Matt Maher’s new song, “The In Between”.
Not surprisingly, I started sobbing well before the episodes even started–as I heard the lyrics, I nodded vigorously.
“I was one way
But now I am different
There was a clear change in
A Holy collision
Who I was
And who I’ll forever be
And You are the in between.”
Can you relate? Do you feel like your life was once one way and then it was wholly different? If Jesus was the ‘in-between’, you probably can’t help but shine His light. When that Holy collision happens, you never forget how you were compared to how you are now.
But if you haven’t had that yet…if you feel like you have fear and no peace…doubts with no hope…empty promises that never seem to hold anything but shame…will you consider letting Jesus in?
Once you do, everything will change. EVERYthing. He promises this, and those of us who know Him know this to be true.
Will you allow Him to be your “In-Between”?
I promise, you’ll forever be different, in the most amazing way!
