Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:

"Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear."
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of the saints.)

Then the angel said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!'" And he added, "These are the true words of God."
Rev 19:6-9 NIV

What’s the most exciting ticket to an event you ever got? Disneyland, that world tour concert, or maybe even the Superbowl? This I know, the more incredible the event, the costlier the ticket (Let’s not even talk about the Ticketmaster fees!) Still, everything- I mean everything- pales in comparison to scoring a ticket to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. 

Be warned, those tickets are costly!  They cost Jesus his lifeblood- so that you can get ahold of them without having to find a way to pony up by your good works, your massive financial gifts, or your constant religious observance.

This weekend when we took communion, we not only looked back to what Jesus has done, but we also looked forward to when we will celebrate with him in person in eternity.  Tickets to that feast are available to every one of us by merely choosing to recognize and receive them as available to us.  If you haven’t done that already, today is a great day to do so.

Lord, thank you for your sacrifice for my sins.  Enter into my life and forgive me for my sins that has separated us. I repent of them, and choose to learn to walk with you daily until I see you at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
